How can we help?
Answers about launching, trading, wallets and Arc. Everything here describes what Flashpad and its contracts actually do.
Transaction problem?
Paste the hash to open it on the explorer, which is the record of what actually happened.
Arc, USDC and gas
Why do I need USDC to pay for gas?
Arc uses USDC as its native currency. There is no separate gas token — the same USDC pays for the transaction and for whatever you are buying. If your balance is zero, nothing can be sent, including a transaction that would only move tokens.
Why can I not spend my whole balance?
Because the fee comes out of the same balance. Spending every last unit would leave nothing to pay for the transaction that spends it, so a small amount is held back. Trying to use the exact full balance fails for the same reason on any chain — it is just more visible here, where the currency you trade and the currency you pay fees in are one asset.
My wallet shows the amount as ETH.
Some wallets label a chain’s native currency “ETH” regardless of what it is. The amount is correct and the asset is USDC. This is the wallet’s display, and nothing this application can change.
Launching a token
Can the creator mint more tokens later?
No. Supply is fixed at creation and the token contract has no mint function. What exists at launch is all that will ever exist.
What does permanently locked liquidity mean?
The liquidity position created at launch is held by a contract with no withdrawal path. Nobody — not the creator, not the protocol owner — can remove it. That removes one specific failure, liquidity being pulled. It does not make a token a good investment, and the price can still fall to nothing.
Can a creator change a token’s name or image after launch?
No. Details are set once, at creation, and the image must be uploaded here rather than linked from elsewhere — a link can be repointed at different artwork after people have bought.
Buying and selling
Why is my transaction still pending?
It has been broadcast and is waiting to be included. Arc produces blocks in well under a second, so a transaction pending for more than a few seconds usually means the fee was too low or the wallet is connected to a different network. The explorer is the authority — paste the hash below.
What fee do I pay?
A trading fee is taken on each trade and split on chain between the creator, holders, a burn and the protocol. The exact split is shown on every token’s page, and it is fixed for that market at the moment it was created.
What is price impact?
The amount your own trade moves the price. It grows with the size of the trade relative to the liquidity in the pool, so on a small market a modest buy can move the price a long way. It is shown before you confirm.
Market data
Why does the market data look stale?
Prices, volume and holder counts come from an indexer that follows the chain a little behind the head. When it falls further behind, the application says so rather than showing figures as though they were current. Your balances and anything you are about to sign are read from the chain directly and are never served from the indexer.
A token I just launched is not in the list.
The launch is on chain the moment the transaction confirms; the list follows once the indexer has seen it. Its own page works immediately, because that page reads from the chain.
Wallets and signing
Why am I asked to sign a message?
To prove you control the address, so that a profile, a comment or a watchlist can belong to it. Signing a message costs nothing and moves nothing — it is not a transaction. You will only be asked for this once per session.
I am on the wrong network.
The application will not submit a transaction to a chain you did not choose. It blocks and offers to switch instead.
Reporting a token
A token is impersonating a person or project.
Anyone can launch a token with any name, here as on any permissionless launchpad. Nothing is vetted, and nothing on this site should be read as an endorsement. Report it through the channels below with the token’s address, and always check the contract address rather than the ticker — a name is not unique.
Still need help?
Nobody from Flashpad will ever ask for your seed phrase or private key, or ask you to move funds to “verify” or “recover” them. Anyone who does is stealing from you.
